About

Hi, I’m Malik Pierre.

I’m currently at National Black Theatre (NBT), leading the Marketing Team (of 3) in building the visual direction of NBT’s 56th Season and 5+ productions and events, including Broadway’s Purlie Victorious, (pray) by nicHi douglas, and more. I collaborate with our co-producers like The Apollo, Ars Nova, and the Chelsea Factory, to build out a marketing and PR strategy that intrigues audiences and pushes our conversions.

Coming from the MFA Design and Technology program at Parsons, I focus on producing impactful storytelling by way of iterative design processes, community outreach strategies, and a focus on analytics to track success through projects. Not only am I a designer, but I also consider the content lifecycle beyond inception by nurturing relationships with audiences to boost engagement and sales.

While working at Meta (formerly Facebook), I designed the outreach and social media advertising for in-person and virtual events from printed posters, 2D/3D animations, photography, AR/VR experiences, and more. While in the healthcare industry, I crafted autonomous email marketing campaigns at Progyny that helped people along their path to parenthood, specifically within their IVF (in vitro fertilization) journeys.

I see every technology as an opportunity to explore and expand narratives to engage the people we’re trying to reach the most. In my free time, I study bacteria to better understand our connections to the natural world, developing environmentally-friendly and healthier alternatives to candy, cosmetics, and leather.
